If you are looking for an alternative to s’mores, this could be your new favorite camping dessert. It combines the flavors of marshmallows and chocolate, brought to you in the sweet caramelized vessel of a banana. What’s there not to like?
4 unpeeled ripe bananas
1 bar of dark chocolate
Carefully cut banana lengthwise about 1/2 inch deep, leaving 1/2 inch at both ends. Open peel wider to form a pocket.
Fill each banana with three pieces of marshmallows and two squares of chocolate.
Wrap banana with aluminum foil and center on hot embers, cut side up, for about 5-10 minutes or until marshmallows melt and are golden brown.
